Calabash Fiscal Sponsorship - Fall 2025

We are thrilled to announce that we are accepting applications for fiscal sponsorship this Fall!! OurSpace World's Calabash Network is grateful to be in position to support even more aligned businesses, collectives, and projects with increasing access to grant funding while covering the administrative burden. With continued threats to local food system development, funding cuts to programs dedicated to socially disadvantaged farmers, and a changing philanthropic landscape, our collective work faces even more obstacles. Don’t let not having nonprofit status be one of them!
But What is Fiscal Sponsorship?

Fiscal sponsorship is a contractual relationship where an established 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (the "fiscal sponsor") agrees to provide administrative and financial management services, as well as its tax-exempt status, to a charitable project or group that does not have its own tax-exempt status. This model allows for groups to access the benefits of a non-profit without needing to be one.
For a breakdown of what we offer, eligibility, and how this can benefit you and your business, please see the flyers included below. For this cycle, we only have a limited amount of spots available. 
The Application Process:
  • Step 1: Review the flyers below to confirm eligibility and need for your project/business
  • Step 2: Review the application form pdf to prepare for your interview (do not submit as this form will be used for Step 3)
  • Step 3: Schedule a Fiscal Sponsorship interview with one of our consultants (this interview will serve as your official application)
  • Step 4: Await a follow-up message from our team members to request more information, approve, or deny your application
  • Step 5: If approved, you will receive a Fiscal Sponsorship Agreement and Policy Handbook
  • Step 6: Attend a Fiscal Sponsorship Orientation (date TBD later this fall)
  • Step 7: Sign agreements and begin!

Deadline to apply is December 7 (last available day of intake interviews).

**Please note that we can not extend Sowing Success technical assistance services to Fiscal Sponsorship clients at this time. We are continuing to build our TA support capacity and look forward to opening up the Sowing Success program again in 2026
