The Ujima Initiative links people together, assembles sustainable communities, and supports the formation of high-trust collectives that then pool resources and raise funds independently to support cooperatively-organized land-based social enterprises. OurSpace facilitates culturally-centered, member-led “circles” that meet weekly to establish group values, develop conflict resolution processes, and develop the infrastructure needed for a successful cooperative enterprise. Annually, OurSpace seeks to guide the formation of 2-3 Black cooperatives.

We host Co-op Education circles around gardening, farming, and agriculture! (now called "Ujima Jams") -- Click here to learn more and register to join!
