Tent camping means each youth will be housed in a double tent that will be for single. Parents that want to request double-camper tenting (two campers in one tent) may do so.
Use of personal tents is permitted but will not reduce the cost of camp.
Meals will be prepared on-site and will cater to campers' dietary needs and restrictions.
The Camp Director is certified in First Aid/CPR and has over 25 years experience in youth camps with a B.A. in youth development.
All camp counselors are vetted and trained by OurSpace World, Inc.
Campers must remain on site and participate in the full-week-camp-schedule to be considered, therefore, campers will not be permitted to arrive late or depart early.
There will be a 5:1 ratio of campers to staff.
A camper safety orientation will take place on the first day of camp to orient campers and ensure proper safety protocols are understood and followed.
There will be a strict no cell phone policy.
All staff phone numbers will be accessible to parents 24 hours, daily.
Parents and younger siblings are not permitted to attend. We will share info for the August, Black to NTR Fam Camp {at the same location}.
A rental van will transport the majority of campers from a central location. Parents are encouraged to use this option but may drop off campers on site (carpooling encouraged) but will only be permitted in the drop-off area.
Campers will have the opportunity to hike, fish, tend horses, assist in building projects, explore a yurt, sleep outdoors, cook in community, track animals, explore wildlife, engage in low-ropes courses, participate in leadership activities, socialize in community, sing around the campfire, build friendships, experience nature-based relaxation, gain resilience and gain experience in the outdoors.
