The Ujima Initiative links people together, assembles sustainable communities, and supports the formation of high-trust collectives that then pool resources and raise funds independently to support cooperatively-organized land-based social enterprises. OurSpace facilitates culturally-centered, member-led “circles” that meet regularly to establish group values, develop conflict resolution processes, and develop the infrastructure needed for successful cooperative enterprises. Annually, OurSpace seeks to guide the formation of 2-3 Black cooperative initiatives.

We currently host Co-op Education circles around gardening, farming, and agriculture! (now called "Ujima Jams")
