Ujima Jams

Farmer-focused engagements that are virtual or in-person and focused on: sharing information (guest speakers), sharing resources, learning together, and helping each other out on our farms (think all-hands work days, with refreshments and/or on-farm demos from experts).

Ujima Jams are one of the easiest ways to plug into the OurSpace World orbit. Loyal Jammers have gone on to collaborate with us on other projects, start their own farms, or even start cooperatives with our support. By working together and sharing resources, we can overcome the centuries of neglect and extraction, putting ourselves, our families, and our communities back on the path towards holistic health and well-being.

Ujima Jams Blog

The Ujima Jams blog launched in 2023 as a way to reflect on the farmer-focused engagements from the perspective of an attendee and coordinator. Each post opens with personal thoughts and closes with community gratitude.

Started in 2023, "Sip & Seed" is an effort to encourage small groups of Black & Brown folk to make time to get together, check in with each other, and explore ways we can support each other's efforts. Learn more below!
